thought to ponder

"Success and failure are greatly overrated. But failure gives you a whole lot more to talk about."
- Hildegard Knef

How so very true.

By the by, I had a fantastic work day today. I may be a PhD failure (the initial topic of this blog) but I'm by no means through in the classroom. Thanks be to God, Alleluia, alleluia.

Your comment made me snort. Yes, monkeys do make great doormen.

I am quite sure that your 'mission' in life is to teach...maybe not college students, maybe high school or somewhere that a PHD is not a necessity. You seem to have a teaching gift, and a PHD ultimately is a piece of paper, where as the fire and ability to teach are gifts from God that can't be learned in a classroom or library.

I've been thinking of you as more of a PhD in progress.
