subversive children's literature

Ha! I still haven't read any of those. I met the author when he was in college. Very odd fellow.

My kids read the whole series as it came out. I liked to dip in for small doses, especially the word definitions. At one point, we all had "aqaeaus martinis" (an olive in a glass of water) and there's a great photo of my pre-teens raising their martini glasses.
