Good luck! They are lucky to have you. I hope they know that.

If you are the typical employee, you can probably already fill out your evaluation, if you are honest with yourself. So don't sweat the eval.

I am sure you will come thru with flying colors.

I was wondering what the "eek" could be about, and then it occurred to me: you hate to be embarrassed by your department chair getting down on the floor, hugging your ankles, smooching your feet, and crying over and over, "We're not worthy! We're not worthy!"

That, and you're wondering what to do with all the cash after they've re-evaluated your compensation. Well, next time I'm in Indy visiting my daughter at the U of I, you can treat us to a lavish evening on the town. Our tastes are simple -- and, as you know, "simple" is usually pretty costly, at least when it's authentic "simple."

My daughter can take care of the scintillating conversation, leaving me free to concentrate on swilling and guzzling. I'm looking forward to it!

Do you still have your job, or will you be lurking around the unemployment office?
