I actually consider myself a social writer: one who likes to write my own material while surrounded by others. It gives me a reality check to be able to ask, "hey Lemming, what's another word for [blank]," or "is my grammar structure accurate here?" I've had some fantastic social writing experiences and intend to do more of the same during the writing of my dissertation.
